More than half a century ago the founders of the then known as (University School of Tourism (EUTM) of Murcia), saw the need to train young people in university degrees where they could be employed at the end of their studies and professional career. Thus, they were pioneers in implementing university studies in Tourism in Spain. For more than twenty years we have had a strong partnership with the University of Murciabeing the headquarters of the Faculty of Tourism of this prestigious, century-old university in Spain. This provides our students with a differential advantage, they have the structure of a Public Universitytogether with the proximity, dynamism, agility and innovation of an Private University Centre.
Since 1965 we have been enriched by the knowledge of researchers, teachers, professionals, students and institutions that have collaborated with our organisation, giving rise to a space of knowledge with a recognised trajectory. In 2019, aware that a change of cycle was beginning, we created the The Open Faculty . We renovated our facilities in a green space in the centre of the city of Murcia and created a University Centre with a new approach. The Open Faculty, is an open space composed of a team of tourism and international relations professionals active in both sectors, which allows them to bring students closer to numerous activities inside and outside the classroom with the aim of acquiring knowledge and skills applicable to the reality of companies and institutions.
